Dr. Fletcher grew up in southwest Minneapolis. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology (1980) at the University of Minnesota, she emmigrated to Israel.
In Israel, Dr. Fletcher was married and raised her son Adam. For 14 years she raised dairy calves, then in 1994 she and Adam returned to the United States where Dr. Fletcher attended the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her DVM in 1998. Working with Hudson Road Animal Hospital provides Dr. Fletcher a combination she loves-the analytical and problem solving skills with the physical touch of the animals and interaction with people.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys distance running, gardening, downhill skiing, music and dancing. She has completed the Boston, Twin Cities, Rochester and Grandma’s Marathons.
Carolyn feels lucky to have found a career choice that allows her to challenge herself with medical and surgical problems, while being a part of the unique relationship between a family and their beloved pets.
Dr. Fletcher lives in St. Paul with Maggie, a Schnauzer Mix, Chewie, a Yorkie Mix and two orange cats, Tony and Stan the Man.
