Checkers

Checkers is a four year-old Labrador Retriever, Border Collie mix who began training at just eight weeks old. Checkers is very bright and focused on the task at hand; he began mastering commands like sit and stay at just nine weeks of age. Checkers' favorite game is tug and his favorite treats are carrots. In his spare time, Checkers provides therapeutic relief for others in need, by visiting nursing homes, shelters and hospitals. Checkers received his certification as a therapy dog when he was just a year old.
